The Courtyard Wichita East is a limited-service hotel located at 2975 North Webb Road in Wichita, Kansas. The property is a three-story, interior corridor hotel that opened in April 2000. The Hotel has a bistro and bar, an outdoor patio, a convenience store, a restaurant, guest laundry facilities, a meeting space, a fitness center, an indoor pool, and hotel-wide Wi-Fi access. The property offers 90 non-smoking guestrooms with both king and queen beds. Guestrooms include flat-screen televisions, work desks, ergonomic chairs, microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Between 2021 and 2023, the property underwent maintenance and improvements, which caused 3,890 room nights to be out of service, which is reflected in performance during that period. There was also a change of management in October 2023.
The hotel is easily accessible with excellent visibility from Kansas Highway 96, 9 miles from downtown Wichita, and 17 miles from Wichita's Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. The hotel is ideally located for both business and leisure travelers, near tourist attractions such as the Sedgwick County Zoo, Botanica: The Wichita Gardens, the Museum of World Treasures, Old Cowtown Museum, Exploration Place, the Wichita Art Museum, the Kansas Aviation Museum, and more. With trailing 12-month occupancies at 60 %, Wichita exceeds the market average of 55 % for the same period. As of December, the 12-month average RevPAR in the Wichita hotel submarket was up 8.9 percent, which aligns with the similarly impressive market-wide average. The 280 rooms currently underway in the Wichita submarket represent a 2.6% expansion to the existing inventory. This represents the continuation of new development in the submarket. Within the past three years, several projects were delivered containing approximately 500 rooms.
