Hacienda Minerva in Cordoba among properties at upcoming BidX1 Sale

As published in ABC, here.

One of the most well-known hotels in Córdoba, the Hacienda Minerva in Zuheros, could pass into new ownership in the coming weeks. BidX1, the international real estate platform, has included the property – a charming hotel with a guide price of €1.9m – for sale through its digital platform, via online auction.

The four-star establishment is situated within an olive grove at the foot of the Vía Verde del Aceite, just three kilometres from the town of Zuheros, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the province.

The hotel occupies a refurbished 19th century building with 24 rooms and capacity for 55 people. Features include a swimming pool overlooking a vast sea of olive trees; a large restaurant; a library; and a spa with Arabic design that boasts thermal baths, a massage room and a relaxation area – all set in what was once an industrial olive oil mill and stately home, frequented in the past by writer Juan Valera and many of the bourgeoisie of southern Cordoba, and extending to 3,113 square metres in total.

At the beginning of the 20th century the complex was in ruins, while many of its original features had been stolen. However, the hotel underwent a comprehensive restoration programme and is now one of the most emblematic rural lodgings in the province due to its Andalusian patios, fountains, and the remains of the old factory.

On 25th March, digital platform BidX1 is holding its auction, featuring a wide range of residential and commercial properties throughout Spain, including the Hacienda Minerva. This property is not the first asset that BidX1 has sold in Córdoba, with previous sales including a retail investment let to German supermarket chain Lidl for €1.75m.
